Harold Martin Race Team Exciting the Fans in Radford

Harold Martin Racing / NATIONAL GUARD Rockets the Motor Mile Dragway /  ADRL July 4,5,6 in Radford, Virginia.
 
Continuing a successful season the team returned a respectable qualifying position along with a strong 1st round showing for an overall great race weekend. Harold Martin stated “We knew if we could qualify that we had the potential of winning”

 “We were extremely pleased with the consistency of our race program but needed to raise the bar back to our potential with performance. While it was our first experience at Motor Mile Dragway it took our team a little time to adjust to the altitude and good track conditions. It was very challenging adapting to the short shut down area as we almost ended our weekend with a crash. The parachutes deployed timely but the car was bouncing and eventually started turning sideways using up both lanes and the short shutdown area and later ended up in the sand without major damage.  However, the weekend had many other highlights as we were able to improve every run and had a chance to entertain many of our National Guard troops, ACDelco customers and fans.

It is also a special time of year where by we can honor and extend our gratitude to the many who serve and have served our country.   It is awesome to represent the National Guard members and indulge the huge crowd to cheer both team cars on. We look forward to continued testing in the near future and our next national event in Budd Creek, Md
